Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

The birth of Ava DuVernay took place on the 24th day of August 1972 in Long Beach California. DuVernay was able to explore her artistic and creative side as a child due to her aunt Denise. DuVernay worked as a night nurse to allow her aunt the space she required during her day time to enjoy the pleasures of literature, art and theatre. DuVernay fell in love with the film of 1961 West Side Story after her aunt introduced it to DuVernay. DuVernay was taught by her mother that art can be used to engage people. Similarly DuVernay's mother was conscious of her social status and influenced the importance of speaking up through art. DuVernay was a resident of Compton for most of her childhood, but she would spend every summer with her father's extended family living in Lowndes County Alabama. The father of DuVernay's reminiscences recalled the historic civil rights march through the Edmund Pettus Bridge in the nearby town of Selma Alabama. DuVernay was inspired by her summers in Alabama as inspiration for her future film, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In the year 1990, DuVernay completed her studies at Saint Joseph High School in Lakewood California. Following graduation, DuVernay enrolled at the University of California Los Angeles and graduated with degrees in English and African American study. DuVernay began to develop an interest in journalistic broadcasting while in school. DuVernay was a CBS News intern during the O.J. Simpson Trial. DuVernay was tasked to monitor and investigate the residence for a specific Jury member. Her tasks to perform left her dissatisfied which is why, when she decided not to continue in journalism, she moved on into the industry of publicity. DuVernay was hired right out of college as an assistant publicist in the studio that was small. The year 1999 was the time she established her own company of public relations called The DuVernay Agency. Her agency launched numerous promotions and lifestyle channels which include Urban Beauty Collective and Urban Eye. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley is born with the birth astrological sign. She is an actress, most well-known for American Experience (1987) and A More Perfect Union (2009). Autumn has appeared as Rose, in A More Perfect Union (2009) as well as Anna Payne, in American Experience (1987).
